Rising to this challenge were students from four regions, each of whom triumphed in global qualifying rounds. Rising to this challenge were students from four regions, each of whom triumphed in global qualifying rounds. “SPORTS CHANGE MAKERS” is a project that solicits ideas to build a better future through sports from students around the world and gives them the opportunity to put their own ideas into concrete form using Panasonic’s technology. The theme of the first SPORTS CHANGE MAKERS program, held in parallel with The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, was “GOING BEYOND BARRIERS.” From the students’ perspective, they addressed various kinds of barriers that exist in the world and applied their ideas to sports to overcome these barriers. FINALIST Students from China, the United States, Europe and Japan who won the qualifying rounds gave presentations on their ingenious ideas to a worldwide audience.
